Madrone Matysiak is an independent dance artist and choreographer currently working in Albuquerque, NM. She attended New Mexico School for the Arts, a performing arts high school in Santa Fe, and graduated from the University of New Mexico with a dual degree in Dance and Arts Administration.
She has danced with J. Garcia Dance Company, Kelsey Paschich, Vladimir Con de Reche, Amanda Hamp and AGA Collaborative, ARCOS Dance, Donna Jewell, and Elyse Fahey in Albuquerque, artists Lee Wei Chao, Francesca Harper, and Miguel Gutierrez, and Lawine Torren in Sölden, Austria. Most recently, Madrone was featured as a guest soloist for Robert Moses during his residency at the National Dance Institute of New Mexico. Her work was chosen for the 2020 South-Central American College Dance Association Adjudicated Concert and has been featured in concerts across Albuquerque.
Madrone is an arts administrator for the City of Albuquerque and a Marketing Representative and Community Liaison for the University of New Mexico’s Department of Theatre and Dance.
